The idea of making craftsmanship personal again
The founding of Backes Jos in October 2024 grew out of a simple conviction: good craftsmanship means more than just technically sound work.
Jos Marco Backes wanted to build a company where the focus isn’t only on technical performance, but also on the people behind it.
In many areas of the trades, you find that what customers are really looking for is one thing above all: trust. They want a single point of contact who listens, gives honest advice and carries out their work with care. That’s exactly where we wanted to make a difference.
From the very beginning, our ambition has been to combine high-quality craftsmanship with a personal approach. We don’t want our customers to feel like just another job – we want them to be seen as people.
To achieve this, we rely on a combination of experience, modern organisation and genuine passion for our craft. For us, quality doesn’t come from expertise and good tools alone, but also from reliability, clean work and treating one another with respect.
Since our founding, we have been developing Backes Jos step by step – with a strong team, clear values and the goal of showing our customers, day after day, that professional craftsmanship and humanity belong together.
